Contraception:

There is no shame in Hong Kong regarding contraception, and contraception is relatively easy to get!

Emergency contraceptive pills are also available through FPAHK, which have Birth Control Clinics or Youth Health Care Centres

for those under the age of 26!

  • These pills will cost HK$13 0-$200 for HKID cards and valid stay document holders, and HK$300 for others.


  • Emergency contraception is not available over the counter in HK,

    but some pharmacies sell them discreetly.

Condoms:

These are sold in local drugstore chains and most convenience shops!

Can be obtained without a doctor’s prescription

Anything done outside of this with the intent to cause her own or another woman’s miscarriage is liable for imprisonment and fine. Anyone who also encourages a pregnant woman to get an abortion is liable for prosecution, or procures/supplies any instrument, poison, or noxious thing, with the knowledge that it would be used to procure a miscarriage

may be liable for 3 years imprisonment.


If you attempt to give yourself a miscarriage, or give someone else a miscarriage, with poison or other noxious thing or by use of any instrument or means, you could be imprisoned for up to 7 years!
